Welcome to Libraries Nova Scotia

Libraries Nova Scotia is a collaboration of all Nova Scotia university, community college and public libraries. Its mission is to contribute to the development of sustainable communities in Nova Scotia through providing all Nova Scotians with seamless, barrier-free access to the world’s information sources.

Nova Scotia residents can borrow in person from any university, community college or public library, anywhere in the province! Browse the collections, talk to staff, and sign up to borrow books. Explore more than 100 libraries (here’s our map). You’re bound to find something useful, entertaining, and exciting. Return your borrowed books to any participating library. We’ll make sure they get back to their home-library, safe and sound.

This “Borrow Anywhere, Return Anywhere” service is a first step to fulfill the Libraries Nova Scotia vision to deliver collaborative library and information services to all Nova Scotians. Click here to tell us what you think and stay tuned for new services and resources as they become available!
